Doctor Françoise Rimareix
Françoise Rimareix, M.D., a plastic surgeon and senologist, has been Medical Director at Gustave Roussy since September 1, 2021.
After spending ten years at Curie Saint-Cloud, she joined Gustave Roussy in 2006 where she was head of the breast oncology surgery department for eleven years, as well as head of the Ardennes hospitalization department for fourteen years.
She participated in the creation of the plastic surgery department with Dr. Kolb.
Appointed head of the operating room department in 2017, she developed ambulatory care with the creation of four dedicated rooms in 2018.
In collaboration with the breast pathology committee, her department's expertise has resulted in the majority of breast cancer patients receiving oncoplasty or immediate reconstruction.
Her areas of expertise are breast cancer and ambulatory management of oncology patients.
She was responsible for the Inter-University Diploma of Oncology Breast Surgery.
She is a member of the National Academy of Surgery and is involved in several learned societies.
As Medical Director, she is involved in the development of Gustave Roussy's 2021-2031 institutional strategic plan, in collaboration with the Research Department. Its missions include overseeing quality monitoring and risk management with the aim of guaranteeing the highest level of quality of care at the Institute. She is committed to establishing a relationship of trust with the teams, and to promoting collaboration with the field, particularly with non-medical staff.
