Dr Corinne BalleyguierGuillemetWhat spurs you on when you work at Gustave Roussy is the incredible dynamic approach and synergies that exist within all teams. From screening through to the end of treatment, we do everything on site, particularly in the case of senology. This allows us to follow-up a female patient throughout treatment. I've worked at the Institute for 17 years and I experience this on a daily basis. It's particularly interesting from a radiologist’s perspective because you are involved in treatment strategies and patient follow-up right from the outset.

Oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, radiologists and paramedical teams – everyone is very experienced. They accompany patients on their journey and understand their feelings. Relationships are built on trust and strong bonds are sometimes created with certain patients.

In addition, the close proximity of our brilliant research teams allows us to work across the board. The Institute also has several world firsts in senology to its credit! Working on novel treatment perspectives while putting patient well-being first is extremely motivating. Taking patients’ needs and feelings into account enables us to develop research and support innovation.

Working at Gustave Roussy also allows you to teach and share with other professionals the knowledge you have been fortunate enough to acquire.

We must keep up the good work to ensure that the breast cancer mortality rate continues to fall thanks to new treatments and essential screening. Gustave Roussy has devised a screening programme offering cutting-edge mammogram procedures to selected patients.
